6. The Immune System in the Oldest-Old : Clinical and Immunological Studies in the NONA Immune Cohort
Abstract : The oldest-old (people aged 80 or older) constituted 5 % of the population in Sweden in 2000, an increase from 1.5 % fifty years earlier. The immune system undergoes dramatic changes at high age, sometimes referred to as “immunosenescence”. READ MORE

7. On the immunopathogenesis of HIV infection
Abstract : CD8+ T-cell dependent clearance of microbial infections by perforin mediated killing of infected cells is a central component in the combat against viral infections. In HIV-1 infected individuals the incidence of virus infected cells in lymphoid tissue, which is the major site for virus production, does not drop, but instead slowly increases as the disease progresses. 8. Cellular and molecular mechanisms in immune mediated hepatic fibrosis. A study of the inflammatory syndrome and fibrosis development of the NIF mouse liver
Abstract : Fibrosis is the result of dysregulated inflammation and tissue repair, and is characterized by the excessive accumulation of extra cellular matrix (ECM) proteins. It causes detrimental effects to the afflicted tissue and can subsequently lead to organ failure. READ MORE

9. Mind the Gap : Human Decision Making and Information Fusion
Abstract : Information fusion, i.e., the automatic integration of information from multiple sources, is an advancing research area which can assist decision makers in enhancing their decisions. Most information fusion research so far has had a technical focus and has paid relatively little attention to human decision making processes. READ MORE

10. Boundary singularities of plurisubharmonic functions
Abstract : We study the Perron–Bremermann envelope P(μ, φ):=sup{u(z) ; u ∈ PSH(Ω), (ddcu)n≥ μ, u^* ≤ φ} on a B-regular domain Ω. Such envelopes occupy a central position within pluripotential theory as they, for suitable μ and φ harmonic and continuous on the closure of Ω, constitute unique solutions to the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge–Ampère operator.
