  1. 21. Channel Prediction and Target Tracking for Multi-Agent Systems

    Author : Markus Fröhle; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gaussian processes; multitarget tracking; channel prediction; extended target tracking; Multi-agent system; posterior fusion; location uncertainty;

    Abstract : Mobile moving agents as part of a multi-agent system (MAS) utilize the wireless communication channel to disseminate information and to coordinate between each other. This channel is error-prone and the transmission quality depends on the environment as well as on the configuration of the transmitter and the receiver. READ MORE

  2. 22. Characterisation of mechanical and thermal properties of tungsten for high power spallation target applications

    Author : Jemila Habainy; Materialteknik; []
    Keywords : Utmattning; Termisk diffusivitet; Volfram; Spallation; Strålningseffekter; ESS; Oxidation; Mekaniska egenskaper; Mechanical Properties; Thermal diffusivity; Tungsten; ESS; Spallation target; Irradiation effects; Fatigue; Oxidation;

    Abstract : The European Spallation Source (ESS), which is currently under construction in Lund, will use pure tungsten as the spallation neutron target. The tungsten will be irradiated by a 2 GeV proton beam, pulsed at a repetition rate of 14 Hz. READ MORE

  3. 23. Extended target tracking using PHD filters

    Author : Karl Granström; Thomas Schön; Fredrik Gustafsson; Ba-Ngu Vo; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The world in which we live is becoming more and more automated, exemplified by the numerous robots, or autonomous vehicles, that operate in air, on land, or in water. These robots perform a wide array of different tasks, ranging from the dangerous, such as underground mining, to the boring, such as vacuum cleaning. READ MORE

  4. 24. Simulation Based Methods for Target Tracking

    Author : Rickard Karlsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : In this thesis we study a Bayesian estimation formulation of the target tracking problem. Traditionally, linear or linearized models are used, where the uncertainty in the sensor and motion models is typically modeled by Gaussian densities. Hence, classical sub-optimal Bayesian methods based on linearized Kalman filters can be used. READ MORE

  5. 25. Sensor Management for Target Tracking Applications

    Author : Per Boström-Rost; Gustaf Hendeby; Daniel Axehill; Peter Willett; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Many practical applications, such as search and rescue operations and environmental monitoring, involve the use of mobile sensor platforms. The workload of the sensor operators is becoming overwhelming, as both the number of sensors and their complexity are increasing. READ MORE
