  1. 6. A Taxonomy and Design Methodology for Hybrid Memory Systems

    Author : Dmitry Knyaginin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Taxonomy; Non-Volatile Memory; Performance; System-Level Models; Methodology; Design Space Exploration; Energy Efficiency; DRAM;

    Abstract : The number of concurrently executing processes and their memory demandin multicore systems continue to grow. Larger and still fast mainmemory is needed for meeting the demand and avoiding an increase inbacking store accesses that are much slower and less energy efficientthan main memory accesses. READ MORE

  2. 7. The Genus Amomum (Zingiberaceae) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam : Taxonomy and Ethnobotany, with Special Emphasis on Women's Health

    Author : Vichith Lamxay; Lars Björk; Axel Dalberg Poulsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Amomum; Zingiberaceae; Flore du Cambodge du Laos et du Vietnam; Taxonomy; Ethnobotany; Postpartum; Mother roasting; Hotbed; Brou; Saek; Kry; Lao PDR; Organism biology; Organismbiologi; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni; Biology with specialization in Systematics; Biologi med inriktning mot systematik;

    Abstract : The species of Amomum Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are revised. Thirty-five species and two varieties are recognised, all names are typified, and detailed descriptions and a key are provided. Nine new species are described and one species is validated. READ MORE

  3. 8. Phylogeny and Taxonomy of Polyblastia and allied taxa (Verrucariaceae)

    Author : Sanja Savić; Leif Tibell; Bengt Oxelman; Martin Grube; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Biology; Phylogeny; Taxonomy; ITS; LSU; RPB1; Nomenclature; Biologi; Polyblastia; Verrucariaceae; Sporodictyon; Atla; Thelidium; Verrucaria; Staurothele; Trimmatothele;

    Abstract : Polyblastia A. Massal. is a genus of lichenized fungi belonging to Verrucariaceae (Ascomycota). Traditional classification heavily rested on a few cardinal characters, primarily ascoma structure and spore morphology, but the delimitation of Polyblastia was problematic. READ MORE

  4. 9. Phylogeny, taxonomy and species delimitation of water mites and velvet mites

    Author : Jeanette Stålstedt; Johannes Bergsten; Fredrik Ronquist; Joanna Mąkol; Ashley Dowling; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Acariformes; Parasitengona; Hydrachnidia; Trombidia; water mites; velvet mites; taxonomy; cryptic species; species delimitation; DNA; GMYC; experimental rearing; new synonyms; distribution; phylogeny; revised classification; Systematic Zoology; zoologisk systematik och evolutionsforskning;

    Abstract : This study is part of the Swedish Taxonomy Initiative (STI) - one of the most ambitious all taxa biodiversity inventories in the world. One of the pillars in STI is to support taxonomic research on the most neglected taxonomic groups with the aim to lift the level of knowledge of biodiversity in the country. READ MORE

  5. 10. Taxonomy and Reticulate Phylogeny of Heliosperma and Related Genera (Sileneae, Caryophyllaceae)

    Author : Božo Frajman; Bengt Oxelman; Mats Thulin; Christian Brochmann; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sileneae; Silene; Heliosperma; Atocion; Viscaria; taxonomy; phylogenetics; relative dating; reticulate evolution; chloroplast capture; homoploid hybridisation; BEAST; r8s; PATHd8; Prometheus; RPA2; RPB2; RPD2a; RPD2b; Balkan Peninsula; endemics; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni;

    Abstract : Heliosperma (nom. cons prop.) comprises 15—20 taxa, most of them endemic to the Balkan Peninsula. DNA sequences from the chloroplast (rps16 intron, psbE-petG spacer) and the nuclear genome (ITS and four putatively unlinked RNA polymerase genes) are used to elucidate phylogenetic relationships within Heliosperma, and its position within Sileneae.
