11. Planning and Control of Uncertain Cooperative Mobile Manipulator-Endowed Systems under Temporal Logic Tasks
Abstract : Control and planning of multi-agent systems is an active and increasingly studied topic of research, with many practical applications such as rescue missions, security, surveillance, and transportation. This thesis addresses the planning and control of multi-agent systems under temporal logic tasks. READ MORE

12. Tightly knit : spreading processes in empirical temporal networks
Abstract : We live in a tightly knit world. Our emotions, desires, perceptions and decisions are interlinked in our interactions with others. We are constantly influencing our surroundings and being influenced by others. In this thesis, we unfold some aspects of social and economical interactions by studying empirical datasets. READ MORE

13. Physical control of phytoplankton growth in the Baltic Sea : a multitude of spatio-temporal scales
Abstract : Shipboard systems have been used for concurrent quasi-continuous measurements ofparticle size distribution, Chi fluorescence, salt and temperature and meteorologicalparameters. A resolution from 100 m to basin-wide, supplemented with variousmeasurements at fixed stations made it possible to investigate biological- physical couplingsduring the vernal phytoplankton bloom of the two years 1985/86 and in a coastal area ofthe Baltic Sea. 14. Modelling and Inference for Spatio-Temporal Marked Point Processes
Abstract : This thesis deals with inference problems related to the growth-interaction process (GI-process). The GI-process is a continuous time spatio-temporal point process with dynamic interacting marks (closed disks), in which the immigration-death process (ID-process) controls the arrivals of new marked points as well as their potential life-times. 15. Occupying Time : Design, Time, and the Form of Interaction
Abstract : As technology pervades our everyday life and material culture, new possibilities and problematics are raised for design. Attention in contemporary design discourse is shifting ‘beyond the object’, to the qualities of processes and experiences. READ MORE
