1. Complex Formation in the Extra Cellular Matrix- Structural Study of CTLD of Agrrecan, Tenascin-R and Chondroadherin
Abstract : The cells of higher organisms exist in a complex protein network, the extracellular matrix (ECM), which has a wide variety of different components such as glycoproteins, proteoglycans and carbohydrates. As well as being the physical scaffold on which the cells are dependent for their positioning and mobility, the ECM exercises control over the cells, and changes in the matrix will affect the adhesion, proliferation and differentiation properties of these cells. 2. In vivo responses of neural progenitor cells to extracellular matrix signaling under pathological conditions
Abstract : The adult brain has an inherently low capacity for tissue regeneration, and neurons lost to disease or injuries are normally not replaced. This becomes especially apparent when stroke or brain trauma occurs. The discovery of neurogenesis and neural stem cells in the adult brain has opened up new avenues for treatment of the injured brain. READ MORE

3. Stromal components and micro-RNAs as biomarkers in pancreatic cancer
Abstract : Background Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients have the poorest 5-year survival rates of all cancer forms. It is difficult to diagnose at early disease stages, tumour relapse after surgery is common, and current chemotherapies are ineffective. READ MORE

5. Factors influencing the turnover of olfactory receptor neurons
Abstract : The olfactory system has a striking capacity for neuronal plasticity throughout life and the olfactory epithelium is able to generate both neuronal and non-neuronal cells in the normal adult animal as well as after experimental injury. In contrast to primary sensory neurons, olfactory axons are able to cross the border between the PNS and CNS in the olfactory bulb after transection in the adult animal. READ MORE
