  1. 1. Thermal response test : numerical simulations and analyses

    Author : Anna-Maria Gustafsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vattenteknik; Water Resources Engineering; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering;

    Abstract : When constructing large borehole heat exchanger (BHE) systems, bedrock and borehole thermal properties are vital for a good design. Today's design programs presume conductive heat transfer in both borehole and bedrock. READ MORE

  2. 2. Enabling Test Automation for Industrial PLC Programs

    Author : Mikael Ebrahimi Salari; Eduard Paul Enoiu; Wasif Afzal; Cristina Seceleanu; Jee Eunkyoung; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PLC; PLC Testing; Automated Testing; PyLC; EARS Syntax; FBD; ST; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Testing safety-critical systems, particularly those controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), is crucial for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of industrial processes. This thesis addresses the critical need for automated testing of safety-critical PLC systems used in various industrial settings. READ MORE

  3. 3. Automatic test generation for industrial control software

    Author : Eduard Enoiu; Daniel Sundmark; Mats Heimdahl; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automatic test generation; software testing; automated test generation; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Since the early days of software testing, automatic test generation has been suggested as a way of allowing tests to be created at a lower cost. However, industrially useful and applicable tools for automatic test generation are still scarce. READ MORE

  4. 4. Mechanistic-Empirical Modelling of Flexible Pavement Performance : Verifications Using APT Measurements

    Author : Abubeker W. Ahmed; Sigurdur Erlingsson; Hervè Di Benedetto; Statens väg- och transportforskningsinstitut; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Performance; Deformation; Model not math ; Rutting wheel ; Viscoelasticity; Elasticity; Axle load; Flexible pavement; Laboratory not an organization ; Test; Thesis; Heavy vehicle simulator; Wheel tracking test; 32 Road: Pavement design; 32 Road: Pavement design; Transportvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering;

    Abstract : Mechanistic-Empirical  (M-E)  pavement  design  procedures  are  composed  of  a  reliable  response model to estimate the state of stress in the pavement and distress models in order to predict the different types of pavement distresses due to the prevailing traffic and environmental conditions. One of the main objectives of this study was to develop a response model based on multilayer elastic  theory   (MLET)  with  improved  computational  performance  by   optimizing  the   time consuming parts of the MLET processes. 5. 5. Beyond “test and treat” : Malaria diagnosis for improved pediatric fever management in sub-Saharan Africa

    Author : Emily White Johansson; Stefan Peterson; S. Patrick Kachur; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis examined malaria test use, adherence and integration into clinical practice for improved pediatric fever management in sub-Saharan African countries and explored Access, Facility Readiness and Clinical Practice bottlenecks to achieve this program goal.Study I examined diagnostic testing rates and its determinants for pediatric fevers across 13 countries in 2009-2012 including Access bottlenecks.
