  1. 1. The Core of Aerial Robotic Workers : Generalized Modeling, Estimation, and Control

    Author : Emil Fresk; George Nikolakopoulos; Thomas Gustafsson; Ming Cao; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aerial robotics; generalized modeling; generalized estimation; generalized control; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Abstract : In this thesis we are going to explore what the operational core, both mathematically and algorithmically, of an Aerial Robotic Worker consists of, in order to estimate its egomotion and parameters, and adaptively control the aerial vehicle. Moreover, the aim of this thesis is to be a condensed reference for the corresponding areas of aerial robotics, in order to provide a stable and complete foundation on which one can continue research on. 2. 2. Steel as the Answer? : Viking Bodies, Power, and Masculinity in Anglophone Fantasy Literature 2006–2016

    Author : Anna Bark Persson; Ulla Manns; Ann-Sofie Lönngren; Maria Lindgren Leavenworth; Södertörns högskola; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Vikings; the North; the Nordics; masculinity; fantasy literature; queer reading; temporality; postfeminism; embodiment; vikingar; Norden; maskulinitet; fantasylitteratur; queer läsning; temporalitet; postfeminism; kroppslighet; Kritisk kulturteori; Critical and Cultural Theory; genusvetenskap;

    Abstract : This dissertation examines the motif of the popular Viking in contemporary Anglophone fantasy literature, with a focus on masculinity, power, embodiment,and sexuality. The study draws on queer-theoretical perspectives on masculinity and the method of queer reading, and approaches the Viking as at once bound up with the legitimization of normative and hegemonic forms of masculinity and open to (queer) negotiations and possibilities beyond normative male masculinities. 3. 3. Methane oxidation over palladium oxide. From electronic structure to catalytic conversion

    Author : Maxime van den Bossche; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; core-level spectroscopy; heterogeneous catalysis; PdO 101 ; palladium oxide; methane oxidation; microkinetic modelling; density functional theory;

    Abstract : Understanding how catalysts work down to the atomic level can provide ways to improve chemical processes on which our contemporary economy is heavily reliant. The oxidation of methane is one such example, which is important from an environmental point of view. READ MORE

  4. 4. The Complex World of Superstrings : On Semichiral Sigma Models and N=(4,4) Supersymmetry

    Author : Malin Göteman; Ulf Lindström; Daniel Waldram; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Non-linear sigma models; extended supersymmetry; semichiral superfields; neutral hyperkähler geometry; generalized Kähler geometry; T-duality; vector multiplets; Theoretical Physics; Teoretisk fysik;

    Abstract : Non-linear sigma models with extended supersymmetry have constrained target space geometries, and can serve as effective tools for investigating and constructing new geometries. Analyzing the geometrical and topological properties of sigma models is necessary to understand the underlying structures of string theory. READ MORE

  5. 5. Mind the Mind : Strategic Communication in the Swedish Green Party

    Author : Emma Svensson; Jakob Svensson; Mats Edenius; Eli Skogerbø; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Strategic Communication; Strategic Political Communication; Election Campaigns; Practice Theory; Strategy as Practice; Objective Mind; Biography; Positioning; Tensions; Medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap; Media and Communication Studies;

    Abstract : An increasingly complex environment and pressure from external publics on organizations to speak consistently challenge contemporary organizations. Strategic communication has been portrayed as offering a method for organizations to handle these complexities and is characterized not only as a rational way to handle problems organization face by centralizing, planning, and controlling, but as inevitable.
