    Abstract : In 1956 the wreck of the 64-gun Swedish warship Wasa, sunk on her maiden voyage in the harbour of Stockholm the 10th of August 1628, was found at a depth of 32 metres. Preparations for salvaging the ship started, and in April 1961 the Wasa broke the surface after 333 years on the sea bottom. READ MORE
