21. Constructing and Commissioning HELIOS – A High Harmonic Generation Source for Pump-Probe Measurements with sub 50 fs Temporal Resolution : The Development of Experimental Equipment for Extreme Ultraviolet Spectroscopy
Abstract : This thesis presents HELIOS, an in-house laboratory for time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy with extreme-ultraviolet (XUV) probe radiation. A wide span of pump wavelengths can be generated using commercial laser equipment while XUV probe radiation is generated via a high harmonic generation process in a noble gas delivering probe photons with energies between 20 eV and 72 eV. 22. Digital block transmission and time-of-flight estimation : receiver design and performance analysis
Abstract : This thesis is concerned with signal processing aspects of digital block transmission and time-of-flight estimation. Receivers are derived and analysed based on the assumption that the received signals have been corrupted with additive Gaussian noise and linear distortion. READ MORE

23. Lean Visual Management of Deviations in Product Development and Production - Coining Physical, Digital, and Hybrid Pulse Methodology
Abstract : Lean is a relatively new trend, and every company strives for lean aiming for creating more output while using less input by focusing on the customer via eliminating non-value adding waste. Lean started at Toyota within its production system. From production, it started to be used in product development, and later on to other various sectors. READ MORE

24. Signal processing and high speed imaging as monitoring tools for pulsed laser welding
Abstract : In Laser Materials Processing there has always been a need for suitable methods to supervise and monitor the processes on line, to ensure correct production quality or to trigger alarms when failures are detected. Numerous investigations have been made in this field, including experimental and theoretical work. READ MORE

25. CMOS Analog-to-Digital Converters - Analysis, Modeling, and Design
Abstract : A high-performance and flexible analog-to-digital converter (ADC), that can be integrated in deep-submicron CMOS technology, is a key building block for reduced size, cost and power consumption of digital communication systems. This dissertation concerns the investigation of particular problems associated with the design of such ADCs. READ MORE
