  1. 1. Alkylglucosides - physical chemical properties

    Author : Frederik Nilsson; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [1998]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; penetration experiment; DSC; SAXS; NMR self-diffusion; phase separation; size micro-structure; aggregate-aggregate interaction; liquid crystalline phases; micelles; alkylglucosides; phase diagrams; fluorescence.; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : The aim of this study is to characterise the physical-chemical properties of alkylglucosides. Alkylglucosides are non-ionic surfactants synthesized from glucose and a fatty alcohol. The glucose molecule constitutes the hydrophilic head group and the fatty alcohol constitutes the hydrophobic tail. READ MORE

  2. 2. Metal Films for Printed Electronics Ink-substrate Interactions and Sintering

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mid Sweden University

    Author : Thomas Öhlund; Mittuniversitetet.; [2014]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; inkjet printing; silver nanoparticles; paper; flexible substrates; sintering; printed electronics; IPL sintering; flash sintering; copper films; coatings; thin films; AgNP; conductive films; metal films;

    Abstract : A new manufacturing paradigm may lower the cost and environmental impact of existing products, as well as enable completely new products. Large scale, roll-to-roll manufacturing of flexible electronics and other functionality has great potential. READ MORE

  3. 3. Atomic Scale Degradation of Zirconium Alloys for Nuclear Applications

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mid Sweden University

    Author : Gustav Sundell; [2015]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Irradiation damage; Hydrogen microanalysis; Hydrogen pick-up; Zirconium alloys; Atom probe tomography; Corrosion;

    Abstract : Due to their low thermal neutron capture cross-section, zirconium alloys are widely used in the nuclear industry as fuel cladding and for structural components. The lifetime of the fuel assemblies in the reactors is primarily dictated by the ability of the cladding to withstand oxidation and hydrogen pick-up from the coolant water and radiation damage induced by the neutron flux. 4. 4. Liposomes for Drug Delivery from Physico-chemical Studies to Applications

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Nill Bergstrand; Uppsala universitet.; [2003]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; liposome; steric stabilisation; BNCT; cryo-TEM; EGF; targeting; stability; permeability; pH-sensitive liposomes; triggered release; Fysikalisk kemi; NATURAL SCIENCES Chemistry Physical chemistry; NATURVETENSKAP Kemi Fysikalisk kemi; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : Physico-chemical characterisation of structure and stability of liposomes intended for drug delivery is the central issue in this thesis. In addition, targeted liposomes to be used in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) were developed.Lysolipids and fatty acids are products formed upon hydrolysis of PC-lipids. READ MORE

  5. 5. Additive manufacturing methods and materials for electrokinetic systems

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Katarina Bengtsson; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2015]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Fabrication of miniaturized devices is usually time-consuming, costly, and the materials commonly used limit the structures that are possible to create. The techniques most often used to make microsystems involve multiple steps, where each step takes considerable time, and if only a few systems are to be made, the price per device becomes excessive.
