  1. 1. Towards Context Information-based High-Performing Connectivity in Internet of Vehicle Communications

    Author : Hao Guo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; temporal correlation; relay; Internet-of-vehicles IoV ; reconfigurable intelligent surface; throughput; wireless backhaul; outage probability; channel state information CSI ; 5G B5G; spatial correlation; rate adaptation; mobile relay; 6G; vehicle-to-everything V2X ; Marcum Q-function; integrated access and backhaul IAB ; predictor antenna; blockage; millimeter wave;

    Abstract : Internet-of-vehicles (IoV) is one of the most important use cases in the fifth generation (5G) of wireless networks and beyond. Here, IoV communications refer to two types of scenarios: serving the in-vehicle users with moving relays (MRs); and supporting vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications for, e.g., connected vehicle functionalities. 2. 2. Predictor Antenna Systems: Exploiting Channel State Information for Vehicle Communications

    Author : Hao Guo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 6G; Beyond 5G; temporal correlation; spatial correlation; wireless backhaul; outage probability; hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ ; channel state information CSI ; throughput; integrated access and backhaul IAB ; mobile relay; predictor antenna PA ; mobility; Marcum Q-function; relay; rate adaptation;

    Abstract : Vehicle communication is one of the most important use cases in the fifth generation of wireless networks (5G).  The growing demand for quality of service (QoS) characterized by performance metrics, such as spectrum efficiency, peak data rate, and outage probability, is mainly limited by inaccurate prediction/estimation of channel state information (CSI) of the rapidly changing environment around moving vehicles. Abstract : In the sixth generation of wireless communication systems (6G), there exist multiple candidate enabling technologies that help the wireless network satisfy the ever-increasing demand for speed, coverage, reliability, and mobility. Among these technologies, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) extend the coverage of a wireless network into dead zones, increase capacity, and facilitate integrated sensing and communications tasks by consuming very low power, thus contributing to energy efficiency as well.
