21. Thermal response test : numerical simulations and analyses
Abstract : When constructing large borehole heat exchanger (BHE) systems, bedrock and borehole thermal properties are vital for a good design. Today's design programs presume conductive heat transfer in both borehole and bedrock. READ MORE

22. Microstructure in SOFC: electrochemical simulations and experiments
Abstract : Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are highly efficient and environmentally friendly power sources that convert chemical energy directly into electricity and heat, without the need for combustion. Despite their many benefits, the performance and durability of SOFCs heavily depend on the quality of their porous anode and cathode components. READ MORE

23. Thermal response tests : influence of convective flow in groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger
Abstract : The main objective of this doctorial thesis was to investigate how thermally induced movements in the groundwater (natural convective flow) may influence the heat transport in borehole and surrounding bedrock in a groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger system. The purpose was also to determine if thermal response tests could be used to detect the convective influence and the effect on evaluated heat transfer parameters, effective bedrock thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistance. 24. Synchronous Reluctance Machine (SynRM) in Variable Speed Drives (VSD) Applications
Abstract : This thesis is comprehensively dedicated to the theoretical and experimental reevaluation of the Synchronous Reluctance Machine (SynRM). A simple approach to derive the SynRM main characteristics and behavior is followed. An introduction to an evaluation of the different control strategies in is given. READ MORE

25. Modeling ionic liquids with ePC-SAFT ─ properties and gas solubilities
Abstract : Global warming is now widely recognized as being the biggest global issue facing human beings. Mitigating CO2 emission from fossil-fueled power plants as well as from transports has become an urgent and worldwide research topic, in which CO2 separation is often needed. READ MORE
