  1. 6. Business models for the 3D food printing industry

    Author : Nanond Nopparat; Innovationsteknik; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; 3D food printing; 3DFP; Additive manufacturing; Business model innovation; Business model patterns; New technology;

    Abstract : 3D food printing is a fascinating novel technology with many promising applications, from futuristic-looking food topersonalized nutrition, and space food for astronauts. However, much of its potential is only realized in the laboratoryor speculated in the literature. READ MORE

  2. 7. Qualification of Metal Additive Manufacturing in Space Industry : Challenges for Product Development

    Author : Christo Dordlofva; Anna Öhrwall Rönnbäck; Peter Törlind; Ola Isaksson; Marco Bertoni; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Additive Manufacturing; Space industry; Product Development; Qualification; Design for Additive Manufacturing;

    Abstract : Additive manufacturing (AM), or 3D printing, is a collection of production processes that has received a good deal of attention in recent years from different industries. Features such as mass production of customised products, design freedom, part consolidation and cost efficient low volume production drive the development of, and the interest in, these technologies. 3. 8. Flexographic Post-Printing of Corrugated Board : Contact Mechanics and Print Quality

    Author : Erik Hallberg Hofstrand; Magnus Lestelius; Peter Rättö; Astrid Odeberg Glasenapp; D. Steven Keller; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Flexography; Corrugated board; Post-printing; Contact mechanics; Print quality; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : As the corrugated board industry strives to produce products with a higher print quality in the converting stage, there is a need for a greater understanding of the factors influencing the final print quality and how we perceive the print. In this work, a method for quantifying the print quality of printed corrugated board is presented as well as methods that quantitatively characterize the mechanical interaction between the printing form and the corrugated board in the printing nip. Abstract : The transition from conventional cast concrete to 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) marks a paradigm shift by directly depositing fresh concrete layer upon layer according to a digital model without the need for a formwork. This technology offers the possibility of achieving innovative and complex geometries in an automated process. READ MORE

    Abstract : This thesis aims at characterizing tridimensional (3D) printed polymers onto PET textile materials via fused deposition modeling (FDM) that uses both non-conductive and conductive polymers, optimizing their mechanical and electrical properties through statistical modeling and enhancing them with pre and post-treatments and the development of polymer blends. This research work supports the development of technical textiles through 3D printing that may have functionalities. READ MORE
