    Author : Marcus Lindner; Alois Zoitl; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Inbyggda system; Embedded Systems;

    Abstract : Studies about the industrial standard IEC 61499 and its relation to the RTFM Model of Computation represent the basis of this thesis. An overview of industrial automation software in general and in the scope of Svenska Kraftnät introduces the subject of software related issues. READ MORE

  2. 22. Development of the Lund AMS Facility for the Detection of 59Ni – with Applications in the Nuclear Industry

    Author : Per Persson; Kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; AMS; Accelerator mass spectrometry; 59Ni; nuclear waste; chemical cobalt reduction; gas stripper; Nuclear engineering and technology; Kärnteknik; Fysicumarkivet A:2002:Persson;

    Abstract : Accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) is a highly sensitive method for counting atoms and it is used for detecting very low concentrations of both radionuclides and stable isotopes in small samples. The two major advantages of the AMS method are that the required amount of sample material is very small, but also that the efficiency is rather high, it takes less than an hour to analyse a sample. 3. 23. Sensing and Control of Dynamical Systems Over Networks

    Author : Ali Abbas Zaidi; Mikael Skoglund; Tobias J. Oechtering; Nuno Martins; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Rapid advances in sensing, computing, and wireless technologies have led to significant interest in the understanding and development of wireless networked control systems. Networked control systems consist of spatially distributed agents such as plants (dynamical systems), sensors, and controllers, that interact to achieve desired objectives. READ MORE

  4. 24. Radiocesium in the forest and forest industry, Studies on the flow, occurrence and technological enhancement of radionuclides in the forest industry with emphasis on radiocesium

    Author : Aaro Ravila; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; forestry technology; forestry; recovery; Recycling; enhancement; fallout; radiocesium; wood; ash; biofuel; Silviculture; radiation.; Skogsvetenskap; skogsbruk; skogsteknik;

    Abstract : In the aftermath of the nuclear weapons testing and as compared with agriculture, the forest industry has received relatively little attention in spite of its large-scale use of radiocesium- contaminated wood and water. After the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident in 1986, numerous studies of the forest environment have been conducted with respect to radionuclide transfer through the forest ecosystem or its many components.
