    Abstract : This work explores possibilities of building a wide-band, quantum-limited low-noise amplifier by means of three-wave mixing (3WM) in different kinds of Josephson travelling-wave parametric amplifiers (TWPAs).     Abstract : Abstract Nonlinear interactions involving counterpropagating photons are gaining much attention in classical and quantum optics due to their unique properties that are very difficult, if not impossible, to realize in conventional co-propagating three-wave mixing.
