7. On Parameter Estimation and Control of Time-Varying Stochastic Systems
Abstract : This thesis is about parameter estimation and control of time-varying stochastic systems. It can be divided into two parts. The first part deals with an estimation algorithm commonly used when estimating parameters in time-varying stochastic systems, the Recursive Least Squares (RLS) algorithm with forgetting factor. 8. Inverse Problems for Tumour Growth Models and Neural ODEs
Abstract : This thesis concerns the application of methods and techniques from the theory of inverse problems and differential equations to study models arising in the areas of mathematical oncology and deep learning. The first problem studied is to develop methods to perform numerical simulations with full 3-dimensional brain imaging data of reaction-diffusion models for tumour growth forwards as well as backwards in time with the goal of enabling the numerical reconstruction of the source of the tumour given an image (or similar data) at a later stage in time of the tumour. 9. On Bubble Dynamics in Acoustic Cavitation
Abstract : Nyligen har mycket uppmärksamhet ägnats åt studier rörande ickelinjära oscillationer av sfäriska gasbubblor i pulserande tryckfält. Denna lic-avhandlning syftar till att utöka kunskapen kring kavitationsfenomenet. READ MORE

10. Being cared for in an Intensive Care Unit – family functioning and support
Abstract : When COVID-19 came as an uninvited guest into our everyday lives, nursing in intensive care was affected and thus the studies contain data from both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, most intensive care units, which care for patients with critical illness in a technical setting, allowed family members to visit the patient 24 hours a day.
