  1. 1. Low Voltage CMOS Radio Receiver Front-End Design

    Author : Fred Tillman; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Elektroteknik; Electrical engineering; Elektronik; Electronics; Elektronik och elektroteknik; Electronics and Electrical technology; Polyphase Filter; Quadrature Signals; Nonlinearity; Distortion; Passive Mixer; Mixer; Low Noise Amplifier; CMOS; Front-End; Low Voltage; Radio; Receiver;

    Abstract : The mass production of integrated circuits for digital electronics has made CMOS technology the most frequently used IC process today. Thanks to the large production volume, CMOS has increasingly become the most cost efficient technology of choice, and the fast development of small, high speed CMOS devices has made the technology feasible for many RF applications. 2. 2. Holocene climate change in high latitudes recorded by stable isotopes in peat

    Author : Päivi Kaislahti Tillman; Steffen Holzkämper; Stefan Wastegård; Peter Kuhry; Mats Rundgren; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; -; Quaternary geology; Kvartärgeologi; kvartärgeologi; Quarternary Geology;

    Abstract : A key to the understanding of natural and human induced climate variations is to reconstruct past changes from different environments. No outstanding method for general use has been pinpointed, instead, a need of multi-proxy studies is often stressed and the reconstructions are under constant improvement by new techniques. 3. 3. Working Memory and Higher-Order Cognition in Children

    Author : Carin Tillman; Gunilla Bohlin; Ann-Margret Rydell; John Towse; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Intelligence; executive function EF ; working memory; ADHD; children; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Abstract : Higher-order cognitive functions, such as executive function (EF) and intelligence, are crucial to the everyday functioning of human beings. Gaining knowledge about these functions is important for our general understanding of human nature as well as for our ability to help those who may not develop these processes optimally. READ MORE

  4. 4. Craniofacial malformations and psychiatric disorders from a neurodevelopmental perspective

    Author : Karin K. Tillman; Fotios Papadopoulos; Lisa Ekselius; Mia Ramklint; Daniel Nowinski; Clara Hellner; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Nonsyndromic orofacial clefts; Nonsyndromic craniosynostosis; Neurodevelopmental disorders; Psychiatric disorders; Educational achievements; Child and Youth Psychiatry; Barn- och ungdomspsykiatri;

    Abstract : Orofacial clefts (OFC) and craniosynostosis (CS) are the two most common craniofacial malformations. Of note, craniofacial abnormalities share some overlapping risk factors with psychiatric disorders. Thus, this thesis aimed to study psychiatric and educational outcomes in this group. READ MORE

  5. 5. Holocene climate and environmental change in high latitudes as recorded by stable isotopes in peat deposits

    Author : Päivi Kaislahti Tillman; Steffen Holzkämper; Stefan Wastegård; Peter Kuhry; Thomas W. D. Edwards; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; stable isotopes; Holocene; subarctic; climate; Sphagnum fuscum; kvartärgeologi; Quarternary Geology;

    Abstract : In this thesis, stable carbon and oxygen isotopes in α-cellulose isolated from Sphagnum fuscum moss remains were used as climate proxies. The main focus was to implement the methods in records from high latitude peatlands in the Northern Hemisphere (west-central Canada and north-eastern European Russia), reconstruct palaeoclimate of the studied regions during the Holocene, and evaluate the compatibility of results with other proxy records, especially tree-ring isotope time-series.
