16. Search for Stop Using the ATLAS Detector and Performance Analysis of the Tile Calorimeter with Muons from W Decays
Abstract : This thesis presents a search for the supersymmetric partner of the top quark in the final state with one lepton. The search focuses especially in the region of the parameter space where the 2-body decay dominates. The analysis is performed using LHC full Run 2 data at √s = 13 TeV as recorded by the ATLAS detector. READ MORE

17. Search for Pair-Produced Supersymmetric Top Quark Partners with the ATLAS Experiment
Abstract : Searches for the supersymmetric partner of the top quark (stop) are motivated by natural supersymmetry, where the stop has to be light to cancel the large radiative corrections to the Higgs boson mass. This thesis presents three different searches for the stop at √s = 8 TeV and √s = 13 TeV using data from the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. READ MORE

18. Searches for dark matter in association with top quarks with the ATLAS experiment
Abstract : This thesis presents a search for dark matter with the ATLAS experiment using 139 fb−1 of pp collision data at √s = 13 TeV delivered by the LHC from 2015 to 2018. The search targets a simplified model where a spin-0 scalar or pseudoscalar mediator particle, decaying to a pair of dark matter particles, is produced in association with a pair of top quarks. 19. Densities and Sizes of Self-assembled Quantum Dots Grown by MOVPE
Abstract : This thesis is based on results concerning the formation of semiconductor self-assembled quantum dots. The quantum dots have been grown by metal organic vapour phase epitaxy in the Stranski-Krastanow growth mode. READ MORE

20. Transport Studies of Local-Gate Defined Quantum Dots in Nanowires
Abstract : This thesis focuses on electrical transport in semiconductor InAs nanowires grown by chemical beam epitaxy. Initially, transport length scales of homogeneous InAs n-type nanowires are characterized by low-temperature magnetoconductance measurements. The measurements show phase-coherent conductivity corrections. READ MORE
