  3. 3. Self-Lubricating Laser Claddings in the Context of Hot Metal Forming

    Author : Hector Torres; Braham Prakash; Manuel Rodriquez Ripoll; Paul Mayrhofer; Tomasz Liskiewicz; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tribology; High Temperature; Laser Claddings; Self-Lubricating; Hot Stamping; Machine Elements; Maskinelement;

    Abstract : Laser cladding is a coating technique with significant advantages like the high quality of the resulting layers, their excellent metallurgical bonding to the substrate or the possibility to repair/rework high-value mechanical components. In recent years, the incorporation of solid lubricants to the base powder in order to produce self-lubricating claddings has been shown in the literature to be possible, with several of the described coatings being able to operate at high temperatures with low friction and wear. 4. 4. High Temperature Tribology of Aluminium : Effect of Lubrication and Surface Engineering on Friction and Material Transfer

    Author : Justine Decrozant-Triquenaux; Jens Hardell; Manel Rodriguez Ripoll; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Machine Elements; Maskinelement;

    Abstract : Lightweight design for automotive applications has been pursued for several decades and continues to increase. The main driving forces are new and increasingly stringent emission regulations as well as the increasing popularity of electric, or hybrid, vehicles where the increased weight of the batteries need to be compensated by light weight structures. 5. 5. Experimental and numerical evaluation of heat transfer in the press hardening process

    Author : Per Salomonsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics;

    Abstract : In recent decades, the use of high- and ultra high strength steels in modern car bodies has increased drastically. This is due to both severe legislation of passenger passive safety and the recent year's effort to reduce fuel consumption to decrease environmental harmful emissions. READ MORE
