1. Reef Futures : Exploring the dynamics of transformative change in marine social-ecological systems
Abstract : The thesis explores issues relating to transformative change in the context of marine governance in the Coral Triangle, and the effects of such change processes on policy, stakeholder relations and management activities. Paper 1 studies how change-oriented actors (institutional entrepreneurs) operating at the international level can introduce and purposefully navigate large-scalechange processes. READ MORE

2. On linear graph invariants related to Ramsey and edge numbers : or how I learned to stop worrying and love the alien invasion
Abstract : In this thesis we study the Ramsey numbers, R(l,k), the edge numbers, e(l,k;n) and graphs that are related to these. The edge number e(l,k;n) may be defined as the least natural number m for which all graphs on n vertices and less than m edges either contains a complete subgraph of size l or an independent set of size k. 3. On Approximating Asymmetric TSP and Related Problems
Abstract : In this thesis we study problems related to approximation of asymmetric TSP. First we give worst case examples for the famous algorithm due to Frieze, Gabiati and Maffioli for asymmetric TSP with triangle inequality. Some steps in the algorithm consist of arbitrary choices. To prove lower bounds, these choices need to be specified. READ MORE

4. Some new results concerning Lorentz sequence spaces and Schur multipliers : characterization of some new Banach spaces of infinite matrices
Abstract : This Licentiate thesis consists of an introduction and three papers, which deal with some new spaces of infinite matrices and Lorentz sequence spaces. In the introduction we give an overview of the area that serves as a frame for the rest of the thesis. In particular, a short description of Schur multipliers is given. READ MORE
