1. Thermal and Hydraulic Performance of Enhanced Rectangular Tubes for Compact Heat Exchangers
Abstract : The thermal and hydraulic performance of rib-roughened, dimpled and offset strip fin tubes has been investigated experimentally. Results from measurements on commercially manufactured tubes have shown that rib-roughened tubes have best potential for heat transfer enhancement with moderate pressure drop increase. READ MORE

2. Laminar-flow Liquid-to-air Heat Exchangers - Energy-efficient Display Cabinet Applications
Abstract : Provisions are stored and displayed in supermarkets and grocery stores, at a temperature lower than the ambient, in display cabinets, which are responsible for a significant amount of the energy use in this sector. During the 1990s, major changes in the regulations governing the use of synthetic refrigerants took place in Sweden. READ MORE

3. Hydrogen Production by Integration of Fluidized Bed Heat Exchangers in Steam Reforming
Abstract : The possibility to integrate fluidized beds as heat sources for steam reforming in industrial hydrogen production plants is examined in this work. The proposed processes include traditional catalytic steam reforming of natural gas (SMR), shift reactors and purification steps; the main difference is the reformer furnace. READ MORE

4. Influence of thermal mass on the heating and cooling demands of a building unit
Abstract : The purpose of this work is to find to what extent the thermal properties of the building materials, the allowed indoor temperature swing, determined by the comfort interval, and, to some extent, the ventilation strategy can affect the heating and cooling demand of a building. It is well known that a thermally heavy building, that is a building with a high heat capacity, often demands less energy for heating and cooling and have a more stabile indoor temperature due to heat storage in the building structure. 5. A Linearized Navier-Stokes Equations Methodology for Aeroacoustic and Thermoacoustic Simulations
Abstract : Aeroengine noise is one of the dominating noise sources in today’s aircraft. Reduction of the aeroengine noise is related to multiphysics phenomena, and that is subject to different mechanisms, e.g., the coupling between turbulence, flame and sound waves. READ MORE
