16. Sequences and games generalizing the combinatorial game of Wythoff Nim
Abstract : One single Queen is placed on an arbitrary starting position of a (large) Chess board. Two players alternate in moving the Queen as in a game of Chess but with the restriction that the $L^1$ distance to the lower left corner, position $(0,0)$, must decrease. The player who moves there wins. Let $\phi =\frac{1+\sqrt{5}}{2}$, the golden ratio. READ MORE

17. Wideband THz Mixers and Components for the Next Generation of Receivers for Radioastronomy
Abstract : In recent decades, there has been a growing interest in THz research, leading to substantial improvements in technology and the emergence of new applications. In particular, the ever-evolving field of radio astronomy instrumentation has been pushing the limits of millimeter and sub-millimeter technology boundaries, redefining the state-of-the-art for wideband low-noise receivers. 18. Classification of classical twists of the standard Lie bialgebra structure on a loop algebra
Abstract : This licentiate thesis is based on the work "Classification of classical twists of the standard Lie bialgebra structure on a loop algebra" by R. Abedin and the author of this thesis. The standard Lie bialgebra structure on an affine Kac-Moody algebra induces a Lie bialgebra structure on the underlying loop algebra and its parabolic subalgebras. READ MORE

19. Infinite-dimensional Lie bialgebras and Manin pairs
Abstract : This PhD thesis is devoted to the theory of infinite-dimensional Lie bialgebra structures as well as their close relatives such as r-matrices and Manin pairs. The thesis is based on three papers. Paper I. READ MORE

20. Modelling and grey-box identification of curl and twist in paperboard manufacturing
Abstract : The contents of this thesis can be divided into two main parts. The first one is the development of an identification methodology for the modelling of complex industrial processes. The second one is the application of this methodology to the curl and twist problem. READ MORE
