  2. 2. Interacting fermions and non-equilibrium properties of one-dimensional many-body systems

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Per Moosavi; KTH.; [2016]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : Recent experimental progress on ultracold atomic gases have opened up the possibility to simulate many-body systems out of equilibrium. We consider such a system described by the Luttinger model, which is a model of interacting fermions in one spatial dimension.It is well known that the Luttinger model is exactly solvable using bosonization. 3. 3. Computational Techniques for Turbulence Generated Noise

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Mattias Billson; [2004]

    Abstract : Computational techniques for the noise generated by high Mach number subsonic jets have been investigated. The main focus has been on the hybrid noise prediction method SNGR (Stochastic Noise Generation and Radiation), which is based on unsteady source modeling for the inhomogeneous linearized Euler equations (ILEE). 4. 4. Non-Invasive Assessment of Liver Fibrosis with 31P-Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Dynamic Contrast Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Bengt Norén; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; Östergötlands Läns Landsting.; [2013]

    Abstract : The present study aims at demonstrating phosphorus metabolite concentration changes and alterations in uptake/excretion of a hepatocyte specific contrast agent in patients with diffuse - or suspected diffuse - liver disease by applying two non-invasive quantitative MR techniques and to compare the results with histo-pathological findings, with focus on liver fibrosis.In the first study phosphorus-31 MR spectroscopy using slice selection (DRESS) was implemented. 5. 5. Imaging the high energy cosmic ray sky

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Petter Hofverberg; KTH.; [2006]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURAL SCIENCES Physics Astronomy and astrophysics Astroparticle physics; NATURVETENSKAP Fysik Astronomi och astrofysik Astropartikelfysik;

    Abstract : The Stockholm Educational Air Shower Array (SEASA) project is deploying an array of plastic scintillator detector stations on school roofs in the Stockholm area. Signals from GPS satellites are used to time synchronise signals from the widely separated detector stations, allowing cosmic ray air showers to be identified and studied. READ MORE
