1. Mechanical Load Identification for Spontaneous Tool Failure Monitoring
Abstract : The problem of spontaneous cutting tool failure, such as tool chipping and breakage, is becoming more and more important in the manufacturing technology. The sponataneous tool failure is usually associated with the stresses subjected on the tool during a metal cutting process. READ MORE

2. The trace of metals : Use, emissions and sediment load of urban heavy metals
Abstract : Urban areas have been considered potential ecological hot spots for metal pollution. This is the result of three trends. First, the 20th century saw a rapid increase in the use of many materials, including metals, in the industrialized world. Second, urbanization has made towns and cities areas nodes of material flows. 3. Effective cooperative scheduling of task-parallel applications on multiprogrammed parallel architectures
Abstract : Emerging architecture designs include tens of processing cores on a single chip die; it is believed that the number of cores will reach the hundreds in not so many years from now. However, most common parallel workloads cannot fully utilize such systems. READ MORE

4. On Power Electronics Interface for Distributed Generation Applications and its Impact on System Reliability to Customers
Abstract : Distributed generation (DG) is being employed as a means of achieving increased reliability for electrical power systems as regarded by consumers. As the most of DG technologies utilize renewable sources, the power electronic interface plays a vital role to match the characteristics of a DG unit with the grid requirements. READ MORE

5. Primary osteoarthrosis in guinea pigs
Abstract : The course of primary osteoarthrosis (OA) in Hartley guinea pigs, which spontaneously develop OA in their knee joints, was studied by stereology (quantitative morphology). Between 6 and 12 months of age, structural changes similar to those of human OA developed, predominantly in the central (non-meniscus-covered) medial condyle, while the lateral condyle remained unaffected.
