  1. 16. High Efficiency Inductive Power Transfer Systems for Vehicle Charging

    Author : Daniel Pehrman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; dual-active bridge; power flow control; bi-directional; electric vehicles; electromagnetic fields; inductive power transfer; high efficiency; high power; three-phase;

    Abstract : Awareness of climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution has led to a transition from internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles. Wireless charging by inductive power transfer is a promising solution for charging electric vehicles. READ MORE

  2. 17. Propeller-Hull Interaction Effects in Calm Water and Regular Head Waves

    Author : Mohsen Irannezhad; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; RANS; Resistance; Thrust Deduction Factor; Self-Propulsion Point of Model; CFD; Regular Head Waves; Nominal Wake; Ship Motions; Taylor Wake Fraction; Propeller Open Water Characteristics; EFD; FNPF;

    Abstract : In order to design fuel-efficient ships and install compatible propulsion systems, ship and propeller designers need to know the potential effects of the interactions between different ship components, e.g., hull, propeller, appendages and machinery, on the ship performance at sea. 3. 18. Twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) : outcomes with special reference to cardiovascular function

    Author : Cecilia Pegelow Halvorsen; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Background: Fetal environment has become a subject for increasing interest when studying health and disease in adults. Monozygous (MZ) twins, especially gestations complicated with twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), offer a unique opportunity to study adverse developmental programming of the cardiovascular system. 4. 19. High Frequency (MHz) Planar Transformers for Next Generation Switch Mode Power Supplies

    Author : Radhika Ambatipudi; Kent Bertilsson; Bengt Oelmann; Jesus Doval Gandoy; Hans-Peter Nee; Torbjörn Thiringer; Göran Thungström; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Planar Magnetics; DC-DC Converters; Switch Mode Power Supplies; MHz Frequency Region;

    Abstract : Increasing the power density of power electronic converters while reducing or maintaining the same cost, offers a higher potential to meet the current trend inrelation to various power electronic applications. High power density converters can be achieved by increasing the switching frequency, due to which the bulkiest parts, such as transformer, inductors and the capacitor's size in the convertercircuit can be drastically reduced.
