1. Uncertainty in environmental decision-making : effects of defined or undefined guidance in the decision process
Abstract : Decision-making in environmental issues often includes uncertainty in the input data and the resulting uncertainty when the data is used. Some spatial decisions are however taken without any formal analysis, meaning that the decision-makers have a mental map and preconceived notions about the decision options before the final decision actually is taken. 2. Quantum Holonomies : Concepts and Applications to Quantum Computing and Interferometry
Abstract : Quantum holonomies are investigated in different contexts.A geometric phase is proposed for decomposition dependent evolution, where each component of a given decomposition of a mixed state evolves independently. It is shown that this geometric phase only depends on the path traversed in the space of decompositions. READ MORE

3. Transcriptional regulation and effects on differentiation by LMO proteins and the basic helix-loop-helix factors TAL1 and HEN1
Abstract : Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most widespread type of cancer, as well as the most frequent leukemia in children. Malignant ALL cells originate from normal T lymphocytes or B cells that are blocked at immature stages of differentiation. READ MORE

4. Seaward Landward : Investigations on the archaeological source value of the landing site category in the Baltic Sea region
Abstract : There is a tendency in archaeology dealing with watercraft landing sites in a wider context to assume a direct relationship between sites in coastal and shore-bound areas and the practise of landing, without any deeper practical or theoretical exploration of the reality of any such relationship. This problem has its origins in the poor archaeological and conceptual definitions of watercraft landing sites obstructing any real understanding of the role of these sites in the maritime cultural landscape. 5. Aspects of proteinase-activated receptor-2: A sensor of enzymatic activity at the cell surface
Abstract : Information about extracellular proteolytic activity is transduced to the cell by a transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor subfamily. These receptors are activated by proteolytic cleavage in the extracellular amino-terminal domain and are thus termed proteinase-activated receptors (PARs). READ MORE
