  1. 1. Steam Turbine Optimisation for Solar Thermal Power Plant Operation

    Author : James Spelling; Andrew Martin; Magnus Genrup; []
    Keywords : solar thermal power; steam-turbine; start-up; cool-down; dispatchability increase; koncentrerad solenergi; ångturbin; uppstart; nedkylning; ökad flexibilitet;

    Abstract : The provision of a sustainable energy supply is one of the most important issues facing humanity at the current time, given the strong dependence of social and economic prosperity on the availability of affordable energy and the growing environmental concerns about its production. Solar thermal power has established itself as a viable source of renewable power, capable of generating electricity at some of the most economically attractive rates. READ MORE

  2. 2. Immigrant entrepreneurs in a changing institutional context a mixed embeddedness approach

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Aliaksei Kazlou; Martin Klinthäll; Susanne Urban; Karl Wennberg; Monder Ram; [2019]
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Immigrant entrepreneurs; Mixed embeddedness; Entrepreneurial process; Institutional change; Invandrarföretagare; Mixed embeddedness; Entreprenörsprocess; Institutionell förändring;

    Abstract : Immigrant entrepreneurs are known to be heterogeneous in terms of available resources and entrepreneurial outcomes. However, this heterogeneity, as well as immigrant entrepreneurs’ embeddedness in social networks and the institutional context of high-income welfare states such as Sweden, remains understudied. 3. 3. Electrode degradation in proton exchange membrane fuel cells

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Alejandro Oyarce; Göran Lindbergh; Carina Lagergren; Steven Holdcroft; [2013]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PEMFC; PEFC; Porous electrodes; Carbon corrosion; Carbon nanotubes; Carbon fibers; Polyhedral carbon nanofoams; Phosphonated hydrocarbon ionomer; Mass-transport losses; Electrode morphology; Electrode collapse; Start-up and shut-down; System strategies; Stainless steel; Bi-polar plates; In-situ contact resistance.;

    Abstract : The topic of this thesis is the degradation of fuel cell electrodes in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). In particular, the degradation associated with localized fuel starvation, which is often encountered during start-ups and shut-downs (SUs/SDs) of PEMFCs. At SU/SD, O2 and H2 usually coexist in the anode compartment. READ MORE
