    Abstract : In this thesis, porous graphitic carbon (PGC) has been used as packing material in packed capillary liquid chromatography. The unique chromatographic properties of PGC has been studied in some detail and applied to different analytical challenges using both electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and ultra violet (UV) absorbance detection. 3. 3. Development and Validation of Methods for Characterization of Multi-Component Systems in Preparative LC

    Author : Robert Arnell; Torgny Fornstedt; Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Analytical chemistry; Liquid chromatography; Preparative LC; Chiral LC; Multi-component LC; Adsorption isotherm; Tracer-pulse method; Inverse method; Inverse method on plateaus; Peak deformations; Chiral drug-protein interactions; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis concerns the development and validation of methods for characterization of multi-component preparative LC systems. Measurements of competitive adsorption isotherms are performed to gain detailed information about the interactions inside the chromatography column. READ MORE

  4. 4. Development of Techniques and Methods for the Quantitative Analysis of Endogenous Substances by Microcolumn Liquid Chromatography Coupled to Mass Spectrometry

    Author : Ardeshir Amirkhani; Jonas Bergquist; Karin E. Markides; Fritz Erni; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) is a powerful technique for the analysis of endogenous compounds. The introduction of electrospray ionization (ESI) as an interface between LC and MS has contributed strongly to a trend towards miniaturization of LC, due to the possibility to perform ESI at low flow rates.
