21. On the Design and Validation of Fault Containment Regions in Distributed Communication Systems
Abstract : This thesis has a two fold focus where the first is an evaluation of a time-triggered communication protocol implementation, TTP-C1, which was stressed by use of heavy-ion fault injection. The gathered result showed a novel type of failures, earlier known only from theory, so-called slightly-out-of-specification faults, that manifested as Byzantine failures with resulting system inconsistence. 22. Satellite Limb-Scatter Observations of Stratospheric NO2 and O3 -Retrievals, Validation and Applications
Abstract : Global observations of vertically resolved atmospheric constituents with high temporal and spatial sampling are crucial for various scientific assessments of ozone depletion and climate change. This thesis explains how such data can be retrieved from satellite limb-scatter observations. READ MORE

23. Validation and Application of CFD to Safety-Related Phenomena in Lead-Cooled Fast Reactors
Abstract : Carbon-free nuclear power production can help to relieve the increasing energy demand in the world. New generation reactors with improved safety, sustainability, reliability, economy and security are being developed. Lead-cooled fast reactor (LFR) is one of them. READ MORE

24. Experimental Validation of a Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Probe Model and Sound Field Optimization
Abstract : New manufacturing technologies are developed to facilitate flexible product designs and production processes. However, the quality of the final products should not be compromised, especially for safety prioritized industries, e.g. aerospace industry. READ MORE

25. Vibrational Response Reconstruction and Model Validation
Abstract : In this thesis, laboratory response reconstruction andcomputational model validation is investigated. The former concernsapplications of control theory as the objective is to reproduce acertain loading for a known component, while the latter concernsoptimization of a parameterized model as the objective is to modifya computational model to mimic a certain component's behavior.
