1. Characterization of [18F]flutemetamol binding properties : A β-amyloid PET imaging ligand
Abstract : The criteria for diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease (AD) have recently been revised to include the use of biomarkers for the in vivo presence of β-amyloid, one of the neuropathological hallmarks of AD. Examples of such biomarkers are positron emission tomography (PET) β-amyloid specific ligands, including [18F]flutemetamol. READ MORE

2. Cancer imaging and image analysis methods in whole-body MRI and PET/MRI
Abstract : Diagnostic medical imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) can provide structural and functional assessments of the whole body. This has great value for potentially systemic diseases such as cancer. READ MORE

3. Improved adrenocortical PET imaging
Abstract : Introduction: Adrenal tumours can either be benign or malignant, hormone secreting or not, and they can be discovered through clinical examination of the patient or by pure chance. Increased knowledge in the area, plus the widespread use of imaging techniques, have resulted in a rising number of patients with adrenal tumours that subsequently need to be diagnosed. READ MORE

4. Methodological aspects of quantitative cardiac molecular imaging
Abstract : The objective of this research was to facilitate the use of quantitative cardiac molecular imaging by developing and validating methods and applications. More specifically:we determined the optimal tracer kinetic model for analysis of 11C-PIB and evaluated the performance of two simpler measures, retention index (RI) and standardized uptake value (SUV), in the quantification of cardiac 11C-PIB uptake in amyloidosis. 5. Imaging and Treatment Outcome of Potentially Curable Prostate Cancer
Abstract : The over-all aim of the present study was to compare the results of treatment with curative intent, with conservative treatment in men with prostate cancer (PCa) without distant metastases. In a population-based cohort in Sweden, the predictive value of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) was evaluated and the relative survival of men considered plausible candidates for treatment with curative intent was investigated.
