  1. 1. Making Equity in Public Transport Count

    Author : Isak Rubensson; Yusak Susilo; Oded Cats; Karst Geurs; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Public transport; Subsidies; Fare-schemes; Accessibility; Crowding; transport justice; Equity; Distribution; Gini index; Lorenz curves; Customer satisfaction; Service quality; Preferences; Reliability; Transportsystem; Transport Systems; Transportvetenskap; Transport Science;

    Abstract : Political and public focus on equity and justice outcomes of public policies is on the rise all over the world. Equity is both philosophically motivated and often decreed by law and in planning directives to be monitored when policies are changed, however oftentimes these equity assessments are vague, qualitative and carries low weight in policy decision processes. 2. 2. Vertical charge transport in conjugated polymers

    Author : Vasyl Skrypnychuk; Alexandr Talyzin; Ellen Moons; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; organic electronics; conjugated polymers; nanotechnology; nanoimprint lithography; graphene; P3HT; charge transport; X-ray diffraction; structure; crystallite orientation; Materials Science; materialvetenskap;

    Abstract : Conjugated polymers are novel organic electronic materials highly important for organic photovoltaic applications. Charge transport is one of the key properties which defines the performance of conjugated polymers in electronic devices. READ MORE

  3. 3. Vertical III-V Nanowire MOSFETs

    Author : Olli-Pekka Kilpi; Nanoelektronik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nanowire; MOSFET; III-V; InGaAs; Vertical; Heterostructure; High frequency;

    Abstract : Vertical III-V nanowire MOSFETs are interesting candidates for future digital and analog applications. High electron velocity III-V materials allow fabrication of low power and high frequency MOSFETs. Vertical vapor-liquid-solid growth enables fabrication of axial and radial heterostructure nanowires. 4. 4. Applications of ocean transport modelling

    Author : Hanna Corell; Kristofer Döös; Björn Kjerfve; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ocean transport modelling; connectivity; particle-tracking; sediment transport; Forsmark; marine protected areas; MPA; stream functions; heat flux; wind forcing; Carcinus maenas; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography;

    Abstract : The advective motion of seawater governs the transport of almost everything, animate or inanimate, present in the ocean and those lacking the ability to outswim the currents have to follow the flow. This makes modelling of advective ocean transports a powerful tool in various fields of science where a displacement of something over time is studied. READ MORE

  5. 5. Modelling of Quantum Transport in Nanostructures

    Author : Dan Csontos; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ballistic transport; quantum wire; quantum dot; resonant tunnelling; three-terminal; disorder; Physics; Fysik; Fysicumarkivet A:2002:Csontos; scattering matrix; quantum transport;

    Abstract : In this thesis, theoretical studies of the transport properties of three nanoscale systems: one-dimensional (1D) quantum wires (QWRs), zero-dimensional (0D), laterally confined, double-barrier resonant tunnelling structures (DBRTSs) and three-terminal ballistic junctions (TBJs), have been performed. In the first part of the thesis, an overview of the realization and properties of such systems is given along with a description of modelling tools used in the calculations. READ MORE
