3. Modeling, Control and Optimization of theTransient Torque Response in DownsizedTurbocharged Spark Ignited Engines
Abstract : Increasing demands for lower carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption drive technological developments for car manufacturers. One trend that has shown success for reducing fuel consumption in spark ignited engines is downsizing, where the engine size is reduced to save fuel and a turbocharger is added to maintain the power output. 4. Neutronics and Transient Analysis of a Small Fast Reactor Cooled with Natural Circulation of Lead : ELECTRA: European Lead Cooled Training Reactor
Abstract : In this thesis, neutronics and some relevant transient analyses of the European Lead-Cooled Training Reactor (ELECTRA) are analyzed. ELECTRA is a low-power lead-cooled fast reactor intended for training purpose. The design concept aims for the total nominal power of 0. READ MORE

5. Kilonova signatures and observations with Zwicky Transient Facility
Abstract : On 17 August 2017, the advanced LIGO and Virgo collaboration detected the first gravitational wave event produced by the merger of a pair of inspiraling binary neutron stars (BNS). This event, named GW170817, was associated with a short gamma-ray burst and the kilonova (KN) AT2017gfo that was followed-up over the following days and weeks over the electromagnetic spectrum from ultraviolet to near infrared frequencies.
