1. Vessel wall integrity : influence of genetics and flow
Abstract : Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the major cause of death worldwide. Underlying causes, such as atherosclerosis and hypertension, are associated with remodeling of the vessel wall ultimately leading to loss of structural integrity. There are a number of factors that can influence vascular remodeling and hence structural integrity. READ MORE

2. Comorbidity and vascular risk factors associated with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus : the INPH-CRasH Study
Abstract : Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (INPH) is a dementia treatable by insertion of a cerebrospinal fluid shunt. It has been suggested that INPH has similar pathophysiological mechanisms as cerebrovascular disease, but the vascular risk factor (VRF) profile of INPH patients has not been assessed using a modern epidemiological approach. 3. Differential expression pattern of CEACAM1 isoforms in polarized epithelial cells : it's regulation and some functional consequences
Abstract : The cell adhesion molecule CEACAM1 is expressed in epithelia, small vessel endothelia and leukocytes as two major, co-expressed isoforms, CEACAM1-L and CEACAM1-S, which differ in their cytoplasmic domains. CEACAM1 has been found both in cell-cell contact areas and on apical surfaces of polarized epithelial cells. READ MORE

5. The human placenta : an angiographic study
Abstract : The arterial vessels from the umbilical cord spreading over the chorion and its cotyledonary branches constitute the main body of the placental vascular tree. In the present study it was visualized by angiography and related to placental developmental factors. READ MORE
