  1. 1. Ultrafast Photoinduced Processes in Core and Core–Shell Quantum Dots for Solar Cell Applications “Tiny Crystals for Big Applications”

    Author : Mohamed Qenawy; Kemisk fysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Quantum dots; core–shell; electron injection; hole injection; hole trapping; exciton migration; solar cells; ultrafast dynamics; time-resolved spectroscopy.;

    Abstract : The balance between our demands of energy and the energy we are consuming is not in equilibrium anymore. Therefore, the search for other energy resources is indispensable. Sustainable energy sources offer the alternative to the fossil fuels. READ MORE

  2. 2. Development of SiC MESFET Based MMIC Technology

    Author : Mattias Sudow; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MIM capacitor; high power amplifier; limiter; SiC MMIC; SiC MESFET; SiC Schottky; TFR; high level mixer; spiral inductor; via-hole;

    Abstract : A SiC MESFET based MMIC process has been successfully developed. This technology has its main potential in high power microwave circuits. It will offer the benefits of the high integration seen in GaAs MMIC at the same time as it will offer the benefits of the high voltage operation seen in Si LDMOS and Si BJTs. READ MORE

  3. 3. Elastic interconnection micro contact stuctures-manufacture and characterisation

    Author : Slavko Dejanovic; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; elastic contact; silicone elastomer; chip socket; contact resistance; via hole; RIE; dry etch; Electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; Elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik;

    Abstract : ...The task that was put to the author of this thesis was to find solutions for manufacturing of single elastic micro bump contacts as well as complete elastic sockets and interconnections down to the carrier substrate. READ MORE

  4. 4. Nanostructured carbon materials prepared by hole-mask colloidal lithography

    Author : Hans Fredriksson; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; NATURAL SCIENCES; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HOPG; GC; Colloidal Lithography; Oxygen; RIE; Nanofabrication;

    Abstract : Research and development of nanofabrication methods can be motivated both formanufacturing of commercially available products like micro electronic componentsand for development of model systems for fundamental and applied science. Thefabrication process developed during this work, hole-mask colloidal lithography(HCL), is primarily oriented towards the latter two, specifically for research in thefields of catalysis, nanoparticle plasmons, and bio- and fundamental physics. 5. 5. Structure-Function Relationships in RuII Complexes with Unconventional Ligands: Photophysical and Photochemical Studies

    Author : Joachim Wallenstein; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Keywords : structure-function relationship; spectral component analysis; photochemistry; RuII complexes; photoreaction; hole-transfer;

    Abstract : The rich photophysics, photochemistry and electrochemistry of RuII complexes have attracted intense research interest in widely disparate fields. A large portion of the studied and applied complexes are derived from the archetypical [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (bpy is 2,2’-bipyridine), which absorbs in the visible region, displays a long lived (~1 μs), emissive metal-to-ligand charge transfer state, and shows reversible electrochemistry in both the ground and excited state.
