  1. 16. Modeling and Analysis of PMSM with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    University dissertation from ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; [2016]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electromagnetic forces; vibration.; inter-turn; fault; fault detection; turn-to-turn fault; Permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling;

    Abstract : Thanks to its high-torque density and high efficiency, the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) is today used in a vast range of applications, spanning from automotive to wind. Since in a PMSM the excitation field is provided by a permanent magnet instead of a coil, this machine does not have a rotor circuit and thereby the risk for electrical failures can be isolated on the stator circuit. 2. 17. Damage Tolerance of Impacted Composite Sandwich Structures

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Moeen ud din Saeed Rajput; KTH.; [2018]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; composite sandwich; cellular; polymer; material characterization; modulus; non-crimp fabric; low velocity impact; vibration; uncertainty analysis; drop-weight impact; fractography; barely visible impact damage; X-ray microtomography; compression-after-impact; bending-after-impact; high speed image processing; damage resistance; damage tolerance; Aerospace Engineering; Flyg- och rymdteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with damage tolerance of impacted sandwich structures for load bearing applications. Composite sandwich structures find wide application as lightweight solutions in aerospace components, since weight reduction and less fuel emissions are primary concerns for aircraft manufactures. 3. 18. Automatic Analysis and Reduction of Reaction Mechanisms for Complex Fuel Combustion

    University dissertation from Elna Brodin, Division of Combustion Physics, Lund Institute of Technology, P.O. Box 118, 221 00 Lund, Sweden

    Author : Daniel Nilsson; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2001]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; hydraulik; Complex fuel combustion; Reduced kinetic models; skeletal mechanism; QSSA; hydraulics; Mechanical engineering; vacuum technology; Maskinteknik; vibration and acoustic engineering; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; Physics; Fysik; Chemistry; Kemi; Fysicumarkivet A:2001:Nilsson;

    Abstract : This work concentrates on automatic procedures for simplifying chemical models for realistic fuels using skeletal mechanism construction and Quasi Steady-State Approximation (QSSA) applied to detailed reaction mechanisms. To automate the selection of species for removal or approximation, different indices for species ranking have thus been proposed. READ MORE

  4. 19. Noise and Vibration Control of Combustion Engine Vehicles

    University dissertation from Karlskrona : Blekinge Institute of Technology

    Author : Mathias Winberg; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola.; [2005]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Noise and vibrations have over the last two decades been regarded as significant environmental health problems. Regulations regarding acoustic as well as vibration levels have therefore become more stringent. READ MORE

  5. 20. Stiffness and vibration properties of slender tensegrity structures

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Seif Dalil Safaei; KTH.; [2012]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tensegrity booms; Tensegrity grids; Tensegrity power lines; Finite element analysis; Genetic algorithm; Flexibility analysis; Form-finding; Pre-stress design; Optimization;

    Abstract : The stiffness and frequency properties of tensegrity structures are functions of the pre-stress, topology, configuration, and axial stiffness of the elements. The tensegrity structures considered are tensegrity booms, tensegrity grids, and tensegrity power lines.A study has been carried out on the pre-stress design. READ MORE
