  1. 21. Vibration discomfort due to multi-axis excitation

    Author : Andi Rahadiyan Wijaya; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Teknisk akustik; Engineering Acoustics;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis focuses on vibration discomfort due to multi-axis excitation. It is based on three studies; the first two studies were conducted in a laboratory environment using motion platform and utilizing sinusoidal signals, and the last study was a field study that utilized a fork lift truck on an artificial test track with built in obstacles that allowed controlled transient vibration excitation. 2. 22. Analyses of Spur and Helical Gears

    Author : Anette Andersson; Maskinelement; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; hydraulics; Teknik; Mechanical engineering; Technological sciences; misalignment; contact ratio; load distribution; transmission error; tooth contact analysis;

    Abstract : The thesis contains three papers that comprise studies of the dynamic behaviour of involute spur and helical gears, and one paper that describes a method to determine the influence of misalignment on the static helical gear tooth stress. In the first study, the influence of the contact ratio on the dynamic response of a spur gear was examined. READ MORE

  3. 23. Transmission of structure-borne sound in ships : applications to a prediction model

    Author : Ulf Orrenius; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis examines transmission of structure-borne soundin rib-stiffened plate structures. In particular, theapplication of a prediction model for ships is analysed. Thismodel is based on a waveguide description of the structure. READ MORE

  4. 24. Energy absorption and transmission in the hand and arm during high frequency vibration and impact

    Author : Anna Sörensson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Teknisk akustik; Engineering Acoustics;

    Abstract : There has been discussion in international literature as to whether vibration containing impact and high frequencies, i.e. above 1000 Hz could make a special contribution to injuries in the hand and arm. READ MORE

  5. 25. Stiffness and vibration properties of slender tensegrity structures

    Author : Seif Dalil Safaei; Gunnar Tibert; René Motro; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tensegrity booms; Tensegrity grids; Tensegrity power lines; Finite element analysis; Genetic algorithm; Flexibility analysis; Form-finding; Pre-stress design; Optimization;

    Abstract : The stiffness and frequency properties of tensegrity structures are functions of the pre-stress, topology, configuration, and axial stiffness of the elements. The tensegrity structures considered are tensegrity booms, tensegrity grids, and tensegrity power lines.A study has been carried out on the pre-stress design. READ MORE
