21. Techniques for Fast and High-Quality 3D Reconstruction of General Scenes
Abstract : This thesis is a collection of techniques used for 3D reconstruction; the creation of 3D models from real world objects or scenes. Given the increase in accuracy, robustness and speed of modern methods and algorithms, new and exciting applications of this technology is constantly appearing. READ MORE

22. Enhancement of Salient Image Regions for Visual Object Detection
Abstract : Salient object/region detection aims at finding interesting regions in images and videos, since such regions contain important information and easily attract human attention. The detected regions can be further used for more complicated computer vision applications such as object detection and recognition, image compression, content-based image editing, and image retrieval. 23. Robust Visual Object Tracking mean shift, particle filters and point features
Abstract : Visual object tracking has been identified as a promising technique for many computer vision applications like surveillance, flight navigation, video compression and driver assistance. The main idea is to find the state ofthe object and how it changes over time, in recursive video frames. READ MORE

24. Fundamentals of Wetting and Mechanical Durability of Superhydrophobic Coatings
Abstract : In paper I the friction between three different superhydrophobic surfaces and water drops were investigated using high‑speed video. The surfaces were two based on a hydrophobic wax and the third was the leaf of a Lotus (Nelumbo Nucifera). The acceleration of water drops was measured as a function of drop size and surface inclination. READ MORE

25. Resource Management in Distributed Camera Systems
Abstract : The aim of this work is to investigate different methods to solve the problem of allocating the correct amount of resources (network bandwidth and storage space) to video camera systems. Here we explore the intersection between two research areas: automatic control and game theory. READ MORE
