6. Capillarity and wetting of non-Newtonian droplets
Abstract : Capillarity and dynamic wetting of non-Newtonian fluids are important in many natural and industrial processes, examples cover from a daily phenomenon as splashing of a cup of yogurt to advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing. The applicable non-Newtonian fluids are usually viscoelastic compounds of polymers and solvents. READ MORE

7. Ultrastructural Aspects of Pulp Fibers as Studied by Dynamic FT-IR Spectroscopy
Abstract : Dynamic (or 2D) FT-IR spectroscopy in combination withpolarized IR irradiation has been used in this work to studywood polymer orientation and interactions on theultrastructural level in wood fibers in the native state aswell as the effects of different pulping processes. The woodpolymer interactions were studied under both dry and humidconditions. READ MORE

8. Mechanistic-Empirical Modelling of Flexible Pavement Performance : Verifications Using APT Measurements
Abstract : Mechanistic-Empirical (M-E) pavement design procedures are composed of a reliable response model to estimate the state of stress in the pavement and distress models in order to predict the different types of pavement distresses due to the prevailing traffic and environmental conditions. One of the main objectives of this study was to develop a response model based on multilayer elastic theory (MLET) with improved computational performance by optimizing the time consuming parts of the MLET processes. 9. Dynamic analyses of structures with applied rubber
Abstract : The aim with the present thesis has been to develop efficient, practical and accuratemethods in order to model rubber in dynamic analyses, with emphasis on passive constrainedlayer damping materials. A fractional order viscoelastic constitutive model ismapped onto experimental data from a measurement standard using a vibrating beamtechnique. READ MORE

10. Modeling and simulation of electro-viscoelastic polymers
Abstract : The electroactive polymer materials considered in this work react to electric stimuli by producing deformations. In some cases, the electrically induced deformations are moderate, while in other cases they can be very large and the specimen is stretched to more than twice its original length. READ MORE
