1. Sound intolerance : characteristics, psychosocial work factors and reactions to exposure
Abstract : Sound intolerance refers to an adverse reaction to sounds at sound pressure levels most people do not find bothersome. It is sometimes associated with hearing loss and tinnitus, but neither conditions are a prerequisite for being intolerant to sounds. READ MORE

2. Numerical analysis and simulation of stochastic partial differential equations with white noise dispersion
Abstract : This doctoral thesis provides a comprehensive numerical analysis and exploration of several stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs). More specifically, this thesis investigates time integrators for SPDEs with white noise dispersion. READ MORE

3. Low-frequency components in complex noise and their perceived loudness and annoyance
READ MORE

4. Mid- and near-infrared NICE-OHMS : techniques for ultra-sensitive detection of molecules in gas phase
Abstract : Noise-immune cavity-enhanced optical heterodyne molecular spectrometry (NICE-OHMS) is a technique for ultra-sensitive detection of molecular absorption and dispersion. For highest performance, the technique combines cavity enhancement (CE) with frequency modulation (FM); while the former increases the effective interaction length between the light and the analyte by several orders of magnitudes, the latter removes the in-coupling of 1/f noise and makes the signals background free. 5. Linear Models of Nonlinear Systems
Abstract : Linear time-invariant approximations of nonlinear systems are used in many applications and can be obtained in several ways. For example, using system identification and the prediction-error method, it is always possible to estimate a linear model without considering the fact that the input and output measurements in many cases come from a nonlinear system.
