    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; River basin management; EU Water Framework Directive WFD ; River Basin Dis-tricts RBDs ; International cooperation; Indicators; Baltic Sea Region BSR ; Water in nature and society; Vatten i natur och samhälle;

    Abstract : Today, there is a general notion that water resources are best managed according to their river basins. River basin management may be approached from a wide variety of angles. This thesis focuses on information management, institutional arrangements and strategic policy support, with special reference to the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD). READ MORE

  2. 2. Quality of snow deposited in urban areas : Storage, load assessment and release of selected pollutants with snowmelt

    Author : Arya Vijayan; Maria Viklander; Helene Österlund; Jiri Marsalek; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ;

    Abstract : Snow deposited in urban areas is exposed to pollutants originating from traffic, wet and dry atmospheric deposition, de-icing chemicals and traction materials. The conventional pollutants found in urban snow include solids (TSS), metals (Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb, etc.), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), and chlorides. READ MORE

  3. 3. Noble Crayfish (Astacus astacus) in a Changing World : Implications for Management

  4. 4. Models of NADH with C2 and D2 Symmetry

    Author : Klas Skog; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : A novel supramolecular approach to the design of NADH models is presented in this dissertation. The models can be divided into two types, C2 symmetric and D2 symmetric macrocyclic structures. The C2 symmetric models are made from a chiral C2 symmetric unit, two dihydronicotinamide units and a phenylene spacer, to form a macrocyclic structure. READ MORE

  5. 5. Biostratigraphy and Systematics of Cambrian Small Shelly Fossils from East Antarctica and South Australia

    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cambrian; Biostratigraphy; Systematics; East Antarctica; Small Shelly Fossils;

    Abstract : The remote lower Cambrian Byrd group of sedimentary rocks from East Antarctica has been studied intermittently since its discovery over a century ago. Previous insights into the trilobites and archaeocyaths indicated a close correlation to the sedimentary sequences of South Australia. READ MORE
