1. The Effective Convectivity Model for Simulation and Analysis of Melt Pool Heat Transfer in a Light Water Reactor Pressure Vessel Lower Head
Abstract : Severe accidents in a Light Water Reactor (LWR) have been a subject of intense research for the last three decades. The research in this area aims to reach understanding of the inherent physical phenomena and reduce the uncertainties in their quantification, with the ultimate goal of developing models that can be applied to safety analysis of nuclear reactors, and to evaluation of the proposed accident management schemes for mitigating the consequences of severe accidents. 2. Development, validation and application of an effective convectivity model for simulation of melt pool heat transfer in a light water reactor lower head
Abstract : Severe accidents in a Light Water Reactor (LWR) have been a subject of the research for the last three decades. The research in this area aims to further understanding of the inherent physical phenomena and reduce the uncertainties surrounding their quantification, with the ultimate goal of developing models that can be applied to safety analysis of nuclear reactors. 3. Climatic conditions inside nuclear reactor containments - Monitoring campaign
Abstract : The reactor containment is one of the most important buildings at a nuclear power plant. In case of an accident the containment wall is the final protection against radioactive leakage to the surrounding environment. A reactor containment contains different types of concrete structures. 4. Phenomenological and mechanistic modeling of melt-structure-water interactions in a light water reactor (LWR) severe accident
Abstract : Severe accidents in light water reactors have been the fotalpoint of much research, performed in the last two decades, aimed at understarrding the inherent physical phenomena and toevaluate proposed accident management schemes for mitigatingthe consequences of such accidents. Severe accident progressionand consequences, av the reactor core overheats and melts, areintimately related to the interactions of the melt with coolant(water) and structures. READ MORE

5. Speciation and Transport of Radionuclides from the Chernobyl Accident within the Gideå Site
Abstract : The transport and redistribution of radionuclides originating from the Chernobyl accident were studied within a 1 km2 area in the northeastern part of Sweden (the Gideå site). Physical and chemical speciation of the fallout radionuclides were investigated on water samples collected within the study site using techniques developed especially for this purpose. READ MORE
