  2. 2. Water-based hydraulic fluids : rheology and elastohydrodynamic lubrication

    Author : Ove Isaksson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Datorstödd maskinkonstruktion; Computer Aided Design; Maskinelement; Machine Elements;

    Abstract : Experiments have been carried out to measure traction, antiwear and rheological properties of water-based hydraulic fluids. Four types of fluids have been examined, emulsions, micro-emulsions, synthetic solutions and water-glycols. READ MORE

  3. 3. Water-based Tape Casting of Ceramics and Fabrication of Ceramic Laminates

    Author : Annika Kristoffersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; water-based tape casting; latex binders; high solids loading; silicon carbide; colloidal stability; polyelectrolyte dispersants; alumina; ceramic laminates; rheology;

    Abstract : The objective of the work presented in this dissertation has been twofold: to develop a water-based system for tape casting and to build laminar structures from the tapes. A set of requirements on the binder was specified and latexes were identified as suitable for water-based tape casting, mainly owing to their low viscosity and high polymeric content. READ MORE

  4. 4. Water-based Flexographic Printing on Polymer-coated Board

    Author : Maria Rentzhog; Mark Rutland; Joseph Aspler; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Surface and colloid chemistry; Yt- och kolloidkemi;

    Abstract : This doctoral thesis comprises three studies dealing with water-based flexography on polymer-coated boards, which have been presented in the five papers included at the end of the thesis. The first study (covered in three papers) presents results from characterisation of a matrix of water-based inks with respect to their rheology, surface tension, wetting, and fulltone printing performance on PE-coated board.
