1. Multivariate characterization of paper machine wet-end chemistry using an electronic tongue
Abstract : Closed loop systems, seasonal variations in the composition of the pulp, shear forces and interdependence between many of the chemical variables are some of the factors that contribute to the complexity of wet-end chemistry. Multivariate methods are therefore often required to obtain an overview of the relations between variables in the wet end and variables affected by wet-end chemistry. READ MORE

3. Spectroscopic investigation of palladium catalysts during wet methane oxidation
Abstract : Abatement of the strong greenhouse gas methane in vehicle applications by use of catalytic end-of-pipe technologies is challenging due to the prevailing reaction conditions with low temperatures and high water content. In this thesis, the mechanisms behind low-temperature water inhibition of lean methane oxidation over palladium-based catalysts have been studied using an integrated experimental approach including wet-chemical preparation of model catalysts with systematic variation of key performance parameters, transient measurements of reaction kinetics in chemical flow reactor, and operando infrared and X-ray absorption spectroscopic characterisation. 4. Modeling of the wet-out process in composites manufacturing
Abstract : The fiber reinforced polymer composites (FRPCs) are carving out a niche amid the keen market competition to replace the other material counterparts, e.g., metals. Due to the low weight and corrosion resistance, the FRPCs are wildly utilized from aviation to automobile industries; both in the sectors of civilian and defense. READ MORE

5. Gas Exchange in the Normal Lung : Experimental studies on the effects of positive end-expiratory pressure and body position
Abstract : BACKGROUND: The principal function of the lung is gas exchange requiring adequate ventilation and perfusion at the level of the alveoli. The efficiency of gas exchange is depending on the distributions of regional ventilation (V) and pulmonary blood flow (Q) and their correlation. READ MORE
