11. On Evaluation of Working Conditions aboard High-Performance Marine Craft
Abstract : High-Performance Marine Craft (HPMC) is a complex system confronted by the stochastic nature of the waves challenging the safety of life at sea. The personnel aboard these craft are vulnerable to detrimental conditions, in fact, limiting the system’s performance evoking the significance of the Human Factors Integration (HFI) in the design and operation of these craft. 12. Suspension design for off-road construction machines
Abstract : Construction machines, also referred to as engineering vehicles or earth movers, are used in a variety of tasks related to infrastructure development and material handling. While modern construction machines represent a high level of sophistication in several areas, their suspension systems are generally rudimentary or even nonexistent. READ MORE

13. Vibration discomfort due to multi-axis excitation
Abstract : This licentiate thesis focuses on vibration discomfort due to multi-axis excitation. It is based on three studies; the first two studies were conducted in a laboratory environment using motion platform and utilizing sinusoidal signals, and the last study was a field study that utilized a fork lift truck on an artificial test track with built in obstacles that allowed controlled transient vibration excitation. 15. Human factors in mechanized cut-to-length forest operations
Abstract : Although forest operations research has a more than 50-year-long tradition in the field of human factors, there is a current decline in resources put on continuous and systematic human factors research. Therefore, the overall aim of this thesis was to contribute new knowledge on working conditions in mechanized cut-to-length logging operations and their relationship to system performance. READ MORE
