1. Applications of ocean transport modelling
Abstract : The advective motion of seawater governs the transport of almost everything, animate or inanimate, present in the ocean and those lacking the ability to outswim the currents have to follow the flow. This makes modelling of advective ocean transports a powerful tool in various fields of science where a displacement of something over time is studied. READ MORE

2. Effects of coastal forcing on turbulence and boundary-layer structure
Abstract : Coastal mountains of significant elevation impose constraints for the surrounding flow. The aim of this study is to describe the modifications of the marine atmospheric boundary layer that occur offshore of the west coast of the United States. Aircraft measurements, up to 1000 km off the coast from two experiments, are used. READ MORE

3. The Littorina transgression in southeastern Sweden and its relation to mid-Holocene climate variability
Abstract : Lateglacial and Holocene shoreline displacement along the Baltic coast resulted from both the isostatic land uplift and the ice-volume-equivalent sea-level rise. Relative changes of these two components led to alternating contact/isolation of the Baltic Basin with the North Sea during the Holocene. READ MORE

4. Experimental Investigation of Velocity Gust in High Pressure Turbines
Abstract : This thesis investigates the unsteady three-dimensional gustfield in high subsonic and transonic turbine stages based onexperimental velocity data. The generation, propagation andinteraction mechanisms of the velocity gust in high pressureturbines are studied. READ MORE

5. Estimating the Air-Water Gas Transfer Velocity during Low Wind Conditions
Abstract : The abundances of atmospheric carbon dioxide, CO2, and methane, CH4, are increasing. These increases affect e.g., the global carbon cycle and the climate both regionally and globally. READ MORE
