  1. 16. Electronic materials : growth and characterisation

    Author : Michael A. Grishin; Ulf O. Karlsson; Massimo Sancrotti; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrophysics; Photoemission; Ultra-short laser pulse; Thin film; Laser deposition; InSb; InAs; GaSb; Ferroelectrics; Elektrofysik; Electrophysics; Elektrofysik;

    Abstract : In this thesis the InSb(111), InAs(111) and GaSb(001) surfaces have been studied by means of time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy based upon the femtosecond laser system. The pump-and-probe technique allows to analyse both electron states in the valence band and normally unpopulated electron states above the valence band, which can be occupied by transiently excited carriers at the optically pumped surface. 2. 17. Reaction Mechanisms and Dynamics in the Early Stage of High-κ Oxide Atomic Layer Deposition : Investigations by In Situ and Operando X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy

    Author : Giulio D Acunto; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; atomic layer depostion ALD ; high-k oxide; in situ and operando study; XPS; APXPS; Fysicumarkivet A:2022:D Acunto;

    Abstract : Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is an outstanding deposition technique to deposit highly conformal and uniform thin films with atomic precision. In particular, ALD of transition metal oxide layers from metal amido complexes and water finds its way in several technological fields, including green energy devices and in the semiconductor industry. Abstract : Abstract In this thesis, the high temperature superconductors (HTSC) La2CuO4+x and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+d and the colossal magnetoresistive (CMR) La1-xSrxMnO3 have been studied by photoelectron spectroscopy. Techniques such as angular resolved photoemission (ARPES), resonant photoemission spectroscopy (RESPES) and x-ray absorption spectroscopy have been applied, using synchrotron radiation. READ MORE

  4. 19. Photoemission and Characterization of Neutrophils and Nanoparticles : Energy Mapping and Elemental Composition with sub-µm Resolution

    Author : Andreas Skallberg; Kajsa Uvdal; Christelle Prinz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Imaging and visualization of cells and tissues are important when studying various biological phenomena. The ability to provide spatial information with molecular and chemical specificity may increase our insight and understanding of biological problems within life sciences. READ MORE
