  1. 1. Identification of the common eliminated region (CER1) by the microcell hybrid based 'elimination test'

    Author : Ying Yang; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Elimination test; common eliminated region 1 CER1 ; 3p21.3; microcell hybrids; tumor suppressor gene; LF lactoferrin ; LIMD1 LIM-domain containing gene 1 ; sequencing; MMCT microcell mediated chromosome transfer ; real time PM methylation;

    Abstract : The aim of elimination test (Et) is to identify tumor antagonizing genes from chromosome regions that are regularly deleted in microcell hybrid (MCH) derived tumors through serial SCID mice passages. Et so far was focused on the short arm of human chromosome 3 (chr 3) due to its frequent deletions in 21 tumor types including renal cell carcinoma (RCC), small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) and breast cancer (BRC). 2. 2. The arrival of the tipping point of solar photovoltaic technology

    Author : Ying Yang; Jinyue Yan; Reinhard Madlener; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Organisations;

    Abstract : Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology has become well-established for addressing both greenhouse gas emission reductions and regional air pollution. Rapid developments within the solar PV sector are still facing various technical barriers, economic impediments, and institutional barriers. READ MORE

  3. 3. Inclusion Motion under a Swirl Flow in the Continuous Casting Process and Wire Feeding in the Induction Furnace

    Author : Ying Yang; Pär Jönsson; Seppo Louhenkilpi; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; inclusion motion; swirl flow; rotating magnetic field; electromagnetic swirl flow generator; full type; half type; submerged entry nozzle; mold; wire feeding; melting behavior; FeSiRE particle powder motion; induction furnace;

    Abstract : The thesis includes the studies of two phenomena related to continuous casting. One subject is the inclusion motion in the submerged entry nozzle (SEN) and mold when using a swirl flow. The swirl flow is generated in a SEN by using an electromagnetic swirl flow generator (EMSFG). READ MORE

  4. 4. Inclusion Behaviour under a Swirl Flow in a Continuous Casting Process

    Author : Yang Ying; Pär Jönsson; Dong-Yuan Sheng; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; inclusion behaviour; swirl flow; rotating magnetic field; electromagnetic swirl flow generator; full type; half type; submerged entry no zzle; mold;

    Abstract : A swirl flow generated in a submerged entry nozzle (SEN) can effectively improve a flow pattern and heat transfer in a continuous casting process by using the methods of “swirl blade type” and “electromagnetic type”. In order to obtain a further in-depth understanding with respect to the effect of a swirl flow on a continuous casting process, the inclusion behaviour in a SEN and a mold was studied in the present work. 5. 5. Estrogen receptors in the regulation of the skeleton

    Author : Marie Lindberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Estrogen is important for the regulation of bone growth as well as for adult bone metabolism in females. Androgens have long been considered the main sex steroid in the regulation of the skeleton in males. READ MORE
