  1. 1. Thermoelectric Properties of Antimony Based Networks

    Author : Andreas Tengå; Sven Lidin; Michael Ruck; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; thermoelectric; narrow gap semiconductors; zinc antimonides; cadmium antimonides; chalcopyrites; sphalerites; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi; Materials Chemistry; materialkemi;

    Abstract : With the retreating sources of carbon based fuels, thermoelectric materials can play an important role in the future of environmentally friendly power generators. Sb based framework have in some cases shown some promising properties as thermoelectric materials. The physical properties may be modified with doping or incorporation of new elements. READ MORE

  2. 2. Antimonide Heterostructure Nanowires - Growth, Physics and Devices

    Author : Mattias Borg; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; GaSb; InSb; epitaxy; Nanowires; antimonides; tunnel field effect transistors; tunnel diode; InAsSb; Fysicumarkivet A:2012:Borg;

    Abstract : Abstract in UndeterminedThis thesis investigates the growth and application of antimonide heterostructure nanowires for low-power electronics. In the first part of the thesis, GaSb, InSb and InAsSb nanowire growth is presented, and the distinguishing features of the growth are described. READ MORE

  3. 3. Low Temperature Structural and Property investigations in the Zn-Sb System

    Author : Johanna Nylén; Sven Lidin; Jeff Snyder; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Thermoelectrics; Zinc antimmonides; Metal doped semiconductors; Chemistry; Kemi; oorganisk kemi; Inorganic Chemistry;

    Abstract : Thermoelectric Zn4Sb3 has a randomly disordered crystal structure at room temperature and undergoes a reversible sequence of phase transitions, β-α-α’/α, at low temperatures. During the transformations interstitial Zn atoms and Zn vacancies present in the β-phase become increasingly ordered. READ MORE

  4. 4. From understanding to realizing novel III-Sb materials via nanowires

    Author : Luna Namazi; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Keywords : Fysicumarkivet A:2018:Namazi;

    Abstract : Due to their unique physical and material properties, III-Sb nanowires are considered good candidates for future devices, and test beds for understanding fundamental physics. Synthesizing these nanowires however is associated with certain challenging aspects, which are generally not present for other III-V nanowires, demanding the need for in depth investigations.
