  1. 1. Cerebellar pathways and mechanisms in classical conditioning

    Author : Pär Svensson; Neurofysiologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neurology; Climbing Fibers; Conditioned Response; Mossy Fibers; Ferret; Eyeblink; Cerebellum; Classical Conditioning; neuropsychology; neurophysiology; Neurologi; neuropsykologi; neurofysiologi;

    Abstract : It has been suggested that the cerebellar mossy fibre afferents transmit the conditioned stimulus (CS) information to the cerebellum. Several studies are consistent with this suggestion but alternative explanations have not been excluded. READ MORE

  2. 2. Molecular studies on Hirschsprung disease and 'Ondine's curse'

    Author : Pär-Johan Svensson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Hirschsprung disease; Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome; neurocristopathy; mutation analysis; RET; CDNF; EDNRB; EDN-3; EDN-I;

    Abstract : This thesis is based on molecular studies of two diseases that arise from dysfunction of, defective migration or inappropriate apoptosis of neural crest derived cells: Hirschsprung disease (HSCR) and "Ondine's curse" (congenital central hypoventilation syndrome, CCHS). The neural crest (NC) is a condensation of pluripotent cells of ectodermal origin. READ MORE

  3. 3. An Experimental Study to Improve the Casting Performance of Steel Grades Sensitive for Clogging

    Author : Jennie Svensson; Pär Jönsson; Voicu Brabie; Lauri Holappa; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Preheating; Decarburization; RBM; Clogging; SEN; Plasma sprayed coating; CaTiO3; YSZ; Continuous casting; Pilot plant trials; Industrial plant trials; Clean steel; Tundish; Non-metallic inclusions; MISS; Materials Science and Engineering; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Steel Forming and Surface Engineering;

    Abstract : In this study, the goal is to optimize the process and to reduce the clogging tendency during the continuous casting process. The focus is on clogging when the refractory base material (RBM) in the SEN is in contact with the liquid steel. READ MORE

  4. 4. The Submerged Entry Nozzle : A Study of how to Reduce Decarburization and Clogging

    Author : Jennie Svensson; Pär Jönsson; Voicu Brabie; Johan Björkvall; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials Science and Engineering; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Steel Forming and Surface Engineering;

    Abstract : During continuous casting the submerged entry nozzle (SEN) is one of the critical points. This since sequence casting is favourable, clogging of the SEN results in fever sequences or aborted castings. In this study the preheating of SEN has been evaluated at different steel plants. 5. 5. Political Entrepreneurship in Swedish : Towards a (Re)Theorization of Entrepreneurial Agency

    Author : Evangelia Petridou; Bo Svensson; Marie-Louise von Bergmann-Winberg; Pär Olausson; Lee Miles; Karin Ingold; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; political entrepreneurship; policy; crisis management; risk governance; economic development;

    Abstract : Public policies affect all of us, regardless of who we are or where we live. The study of public policymaking necessarily entails the study of the entire political system and to this end, researchers employ a multitude of frameworks, theories, and models, which tend to be complementary rather than mutually exclusive.
