1. Origin of the Kleva Ni-Cu sulphide mineralisation in Småland, southeast Sweden
Abstract : The Kleva Ni-Cu sulphide deposit is situated within a gabbro-diorite intrusive complex in southeast Sweden. The basement north of the intrusive complex is dominated by 1.81–1.77 Ga granites of the Palaeoproterozoic Transscandinavian Igneous Belt (TIB). READ MORE

2. Sulphide-rich tailings remediated by soil cover : evaluation of cover efficiency and tailings geochemistry, Kristineberg, northern Sweden
Abstract : The efficiency of soil cover as a method of remediation of sulphide-rich tailings has been studied at an impoundment at the Kristineberg mine, Northern Sweden. Two variations of soil cover were used in the remediation. The major part of the impoundment was covered with a 1.0 m layer of till where the groundwater table was shallow. READ MORE

3. Textural and chemical characterization of sulphide minerals at the Rävliden North VMS deposit, Skellefte district, Sweden
Abstract : The discovery of new mineral deposits is essential to meet the increasing demand for metals in our society. The Skellefte mining district in Northern Sweden is one of the main producers of polymetallic ores of Cu, Zn, Pb,Ag, Au, and Te in Europe. READ MORE

4. Geochemical effects of soil cover remediation on sulphide-rich tailings at the Kristineberg mine, northern Sweden
Abstract : Remediation of mine waste by the application of till cover is one of the more common methods used in Sweden to prevent oxidation of sulphide-rich minerals. Although the general conclusion from Swedish state-of-the-art field studies is that dry covers may be effective, they are expensive to construct. READ MORE

5. Geochemical and hydrological aspects of interactions between water and mine waste
Abstract : This thesis presents laboratory studies of sulphidic mine tailings remediated by flooding, and a pilot-scale study of dry cover for remediation of unoxidised sulphide-rich tailings. At the Kristineberg Zn-Cu mine in northern Sweden, sulphide-rich, poorly buffered tailings have been deposited in five impoundments located along a valley. READ MORE
